Ford co-founded Independence with Erik in 2017 to provide site selection and advisory services to a growing client base seeking expansion across Texas. He has been active in the real estate industry since 2011, when he spent a year with the Weitzman Group while attending the University of Texas at Austin. Upon graduating with a joint degree in Business Economics through the McCombs School of Business and College of Liberal Arts, Ford returned to his hometown of Houston to continue his career in commercial real estate with Read King Commercial. In 2016, he moved up to Georgetown, TX to join Charter Real Estate – a retail development firm based in Temple – which is where he started working alongside Erik. After realizing the successful partnership they shared working in the tenant representation arena, it did not take long for the idea of Independence Commercial to take hold. Ford is passionate about ensuring that the Independence brand consistently remains associated with hard work, goodwill and integrity.
Ford is blessed to be a part of his wonderful family: his two parents Kathy and Frank who live in Houston, along with his special-needs sister Alex. Alex attends the Brookwood Community – an extraordinary place located in Brookshire, Texas. Ford enjoys getting involved in the community and encourages you to visit the gift shop & café there. He also enjoys spending time in the outdoors, hunting and fishing, and is an avid Houston Astros fan.
